Xmas Greetings 2013
Life Members and Members,
It is this time of the year when we get the opportunity to celebrate another year and are able to take a
well-deserved break from your place of employment,
The holiday break that most of us receive will give us time to reflect on how lucky we are to be citizens of New Zealand. Some others have not been as fortunate as us when you reflect on the bush fires in Australia and that monstrous typhoon in the Philippines.
All of this aside we are able to celebrate with family the festive season good food and cheer along with some laughs in the company of friends and family.
Leading up to the Xmas break your Club has been and will continue to be in a fairly busy space prior to Santa’s annual visit.
In the latter part of November your Club hosted the North Island Women’s Bowls Championship which was very successful and all of those involved with the organisation must be congratulated for their outstanding efforts and contribution. Well done.
This was followed quickly by our Annual General Meeting and Board elections at which time the following people were elected to your Board for the financial year 2013/2014. I congratulate both those who were successful and those who were not. The need to have elections is an encouraging and tells one that there is definite interest in these positions. The elected officers for the next term are.
||Ross Thornton and Andy Wilson
||Mark Gilmer, Brent Porter, Wayne Somerville, Steve Mccauly, Cathie Guildford, Dave Field

I close this Xmas message with a thought for the Johnsonville & Districts RSA who will decide finally on the 8th of December whether to liquidate and close their doors or otherwise!!!
On behalf of the Members of the Johnsonville Club we convey a message that this will be a very sad day in the community. It’s important to us all in this close knit community that we preserve the memory of Anzac Day going forward and those men and women who protected the shores of New Zealand for the benefit of all.
To all Members and their Family’s we convey our Best Wishes for the Festive Season from all Board, Management and Staff and wish you a positive and fruitful New Year,
Merry Xmas and Best Wishes,
On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff
